I am no chartographer. Even less than that, I am terrible at drawing simple figures, let alone accurate desciptions. These maps, therefore, are not my own. I have sourced them from various places on the Internet. They are all in scalable vector graphics (SVG) for and have all been released under Creative Commons, the GNU Free Documentation or similar permissive license.
At present the maps are just static displays, usually scaled. For them to be useful, you'll probably want to view them through some external SVG viewer. To get at the SVG source, right click on the map and go to "View Frame Source" (or copy the frame address or something similar). I'll look around and see if I can maybe find a spiffy JavaScript SVG viewer, but in the mean time this will have to do.
