In light of the pending trial of Dr. Kermit Gosnell and recent legislation passed in North Dakota, this month's quote is on the Christian perception of the pro-life issue.

The Christian worldview is not opposed to abortion from the moment of conception because the Bible somehow explicitly teaches something about it. Rather we believe that killing an innocent human being without proper justification is wrong. And this is actually something the Bible is consistent with in terms of teaching that concept. The second premise though is that science tells us that the unborn is a human being from the moment of conception. And so if those first two premises are true, then the conclusion logically follows; and that is that therefore abortion or embryonic stemcell research would also be wrong, because it also kills an innocent human being from the moment of conception.
