I was suppose to give another TIM talk today, but the flu got me.  It got me bad.  Luckily I'm over the worst of it.  Now it is just rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest......  This is actually a great opportunity for me to do the things I can't/don't make time (or enough of it) for normally.  But I guess we'll have to see how my laziness, tiredness, eagerness and guilt balances out in the end.

In the mean time, here are my plans for updating the website.  The Bible studies of Ephesians and Joel are still relatively fresh in my mind.  Because of this, I do not want to put them up right now.  The reason for this is that I do not want to put my study notes up verbatim.  What I'm hoping to do is to flesh out some other parts of the website first.  Then, after a couple of weeks' or months' time, I can return to these books and work through them again on my own.  Afterwards, I can combine what I learned from what I had.

So that lies in the future.  What I am aiming to update on the website first are a few of the Hebrew and Greek words.  That section is not going to be fancy or grand in any way: it is merely going to be my collection of words I've picked up over the years thus far (and it really isn't that many) organised into a crude category system.  It shouldn't, therefore, take too long to do, but as a computer scientist, I'm looking for a way to automate the process.  And as with any software automation process, one runs the risk of spending more time on the automation than it would have taken doing it manually...

I've also added a new section called Chronologies and Maps.  Both subsections are going to take some time to get going: I need to work out the chronologies as well as a structure for it (I'm hoping to throw some JavaScript in there to ease navigation), and I need to find maps.  I also want to find a better way of displaying the maps (I'm also considering a JavaScript solution for this).  Chronologies I can still work out myself, but I'm going to be 100% reliant on other people for the maps.  So, if I do find maps I can use I might still need to translate them into English (I've found maps in French, Polish and Hebrew) or alter them in some other way, so don't expect much from that subsection for a long time.

Long story short: this website is going to take some time to get into ship shape.  But check in regularly to see what I've added!  All new significant additions will be in the blog.

PS I've switch to using a WYSIWYG editor.  At the moment its proving to be more trouble than anything else.  :|
