A Personal Update

Read time: 1 minute

I am currently in Belgium. My work has sent me here to train up a team in my product area. The whole thing happened in a relatively short time and making the arrangements to get here on such short notice was quite stressful.

Shortly before I left for Belgium, my dad got sick, and shortly after I arrived here he passed away. My stay here has now been halved and I'll return to South Africa shortly. By God's grace I did have an opportunity to say goodbye to him before I left, as did other family members who normally would not have been near enough. [node:read-more:link]

Wishing you a good 2014

Read time: 2 minutes

I want to thank you, my readers, for this past year. On numerous occasions have I been humbled to hear from people who read this blog and find encouragement in it. It makes me realise that I am not just yelling out into a void, but that people are hearing what I have to say, al be it often quietly so. That is an incredible feeling. So thank you again. As long as God gives me the strength to continue, I shall. (And, remember, your feedback is always welcome!) [node:read-more:link]

My Trip to India

India
Read time: 18 minutes

I find it jolting that it was already six months ago when I found myself in the Indian monsoon. I have not yet written here about my experiences there. I had wanted to and had begun to do so, but found the task too daunting to complete. Now, as the year draws to a close, I want to briefly describe it before it becomes irrelevant. Sidetracked

Gateway of India
Read time: 3 minutes

In a recent article I promised that more content was forthcoming as a busy period of my year/life was coming to an end, and that winter would force me indoors to contemplate and write. Sadly, as a mere mortal, I was unqualified to make such a prediction. [node:read-more:link]

Top Five Posts of 2012

Read time: 4 minutes

As the year draws to a close, I want to reflect on some of the articles which I wrote this year, specifically the top five. I decided on these articles by the reactions which they generated. Not all of them were assessed by "numbers", such as the number of comments or Facebook likes. But some them were spoken about privately to me. My reader base remains small, but I sincerely appreciate every person who takes the time to read through what weighs on my heart. From the bottom of my heart, thank you! [node:read-more:link]

Merry Christmas 2011

Read time: 1 minute

Merry Christmas to my readers, and all the rest of the world! Tomorrow we shall look back as the Light broke into the world to dispel the darkness. When He came into the world, the world did not know Him, and still does not. But He knows the world, for the world was made through Him.

We shall remember how the Word became flesh, so that the wisdom of the world could be made foolish, and the foolish things of the world could put to shame those who are wise.

We remember that on a starry night was born, in the city of David, a Saviour, the promised Messiah. He came to show why we are not righteous before God, and then He suffered, bled, died, and rose again so that we are able to stand in a right relationship with our Creator, Father God.

Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty! To Him be all power, majesty, and glory! [node:read-more:link]
